Safety requirements for different categories of employees. Occupational hazards and their control. Safe work practices. Analysis of occupational accidents. Types of injuries and their causes. Emergency planning. Industrial hazards (electrical, chemical, mechanical, etc) and protection from them. Occupational safety audit. Occupational Health and Safety training.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
The objective of the course is to provide the basic elements of knowledge in relation to the prevention of occupational hazards, as well as the basic framework for planning systematic policy by organizations in order to guarantee safe and healthy work conditions.
