Quality definition and scope – Quality planning –- Quality tools (histograms, scatterplots, Cause and effect, check sheet, diagram flow chart, Pareto charts)- – Statistical Quality Control -– Control charts, Acceptance sampling by variable, Acceptance sampling by attribute, six sigma method
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of this course, students will have understood the basic concepts of quality and will be able to use the main tools of statistical quality control in real applications. They will be able to design and use control charts to monitor processes, interpret the image of each control chart, and calculate appropriate indicators for the performance of each process. They will also be able to design and implement sampling plans for variables and attributes. Finally, they will be able to implement all the above techniques using appropriate statistical programs.
