LEARNING OUTCOMES
The course is a lecture course and is offered by the CAD/CAM sector in the 10th semester of study.
Objectives of the course:
- Recognition of the importance and role of Material Handling Systems and Machines (MSMs) in modern technological and social systems
- Understanding the general concepts, theories and methods for the design of transport and lifting devices, machines and systems
- Understanding and analyzing the different types and categories of loads
Upon successful completion of the course the student:
- will be aware of the operation of the main conveying and hoisting systems and machines
- will be capable to design systems for handling materials and loads and make detailed calculations of their structural elements.
